Duct Tape Marketing: Adding search to your site

  • Shabbir · 2 years ago
I implemented Google search on my blogsite and saw spectacular results. Viewers started spending more time on my blog and they found what they wanted more easily and also I started generating more income. So it's a win-win situation for all.

We also recently switched from a standard Word Press search to Google's Search. The results it gives seems to be perfect and it was quite easy to set up. Great Advice (as usual).

Hi John - You are correct about having the content be indexed first. I have noticed with teleclasses.info that it takes new posts up to a few days to be included in search results. As blogs are indexed so quickly, I dont see this delay as much of a problem.

    John:
Once again very useful information. I was think of instituting search on my blog and on my site and now you've convinced me that Google is the way to go.
    Thanks

    Hi John.

I agree that the Google search is a great feature but when I implemented it on my website I couldn't avoid the AdSense issue which is something I don't like.

But I know that I have to do something with The Business Coaching Blog. There is now so much information on it and while I have tried to make navigation as easy as possible I have to have a search facility to give readers the best chance of finding what they are looking for.

I guess that I must look at the Google search add-in again so thanks for reminding me.
