On a similar note - I just discovered this company for event planning - they claim to be easier / faster than Eventbrite.com?? Worth checking out.

This is a nice add-on for basic events, but if you need any of the bells and whistles you are going to notice they are all missing in this tool.
For example, you can't create discount codes or have multiple ticket types.
I use Constant Contact for emails and was excited when I first read this post, but was a little let down by how basic the offering was.
Eventbrite is still my preferred tool for event registration and promotion...their new integration with MailChimp is almost enough to make me switch from Constant Contact.
