  • David Finch · 1 year ago
Thanks for sharing! Now I have a few more books to add to the must read list.
  • Blog Expert · 1 year ago
Those definitely look like good reads. Thanks a lot for the list.
  • Steve Gasser · 1 year ago
I would say my favorite books this year are - Groundswell, Tribes by Seth Godin, Outliners by Gladwell
  • Jean-Christoph · 1 year ago
As David mentioned already: thanks for enhancing my "to read"-list. ^^

My favs for 2008 are "a whole new mind" by Daniel H. Pink, "Presentation Zen" by Garr Raynolds and still the good old "made to stick" by Chip and Dan Heath.

It's a few years old, but I'm partial to this book:

I don't think the insights contained therein have yet been completely metabolized by the social media culture.

Good list. I'll add to my reading list! One of my favorite business books (which isn't recent, but is absolutely still relevant), is a business book called "The Frog and the Prince; Secrets of Positive Networking" by Darcy Rezac. This is a book on the power of offline networking; face to face. A great book that I pull out a read at least once a year.

My top business book of the year would be Business Stripped Bare by Richard Branson, an absolute gem for entrepreneurs.
  • John Jantsch · 1 year ago
@Jean - Read all three of those and agree that are good ones.

@Elliot - I think it's a case of the author being ahead of the curve with this one.

Africa Rising: How 900 million consumers offer more than you think by Vijay Mahajan-- thought provoking, not just about the African market, but about the benefits of adapting to a consumer's needs rather than dismissing an entire market as too small.

    Glad you shared this, John.

I wonder if you felt there were simply great reads or if they made specific impact on how you think, act, and/or run your business for 2008 or the coming New Year.
  • John Jantsch · 1 year ago
@Tshombe - I guess a little of both - if they do not directly impact my thinking they all play a role indirectly in how I think about my business and in some ways myself now and into the future

    Hi John,
I like "The Art of Learning" book. Ohya, maybe you can make a little review for another book? So that I know which one better I buy hehe :)

Oi! So many books, so little time. Thank you for narrowing the list of must-reads down for us. I think the one that I'll be looking at appropriating first would be Harmonic Wealth by James Arthur Ray.
