Facebook can be an incredibly powerful tool that too many businesses 'write off' before fully understanding due to their preconceived ideas about social networking.

In any event, if you update your list some day, I'd like to recommend adding a new Facebook app recently launched by LinkUp. The Facebook app, called 'Current jobs at our company,' the app allows companies to publish jobs from their company website to their company's Facebook page. When a job seeker clicks on a job listing on Facebook, they are directed to that specific job on the company's career portal on their corporate website. It is a completely unique app and lets companies more effectively leverage the power of social media and social networking in their recruiting efforts.

The app can be found here: http://apps.facebook.com/jo...

Thanks John.

Toby Dayton
President & CEO
LinkUp & JobDig

Re: Top 10 Business Applications for Facebook

I just recently discovered your site and appreciate you sharing your bout with facebook application development with the world.but this site also search best knowledge facebook application development.

Re: Top 10 Business Applications for Facebook

RT @mbernier: @CMChadwick this is the FB article I was talking about: http://is.gd/1ZsK

Re: Top 10 Business Applications for Facebook

I just recently discovered your Blog and appreciate you sharing your bout with facebook application with the world. but this site also search best knowledge
facebook chat application.

Re: Top 10 Business Applications for Facebook

Hey thanks for the applicatin information. I blogged about using viral marketing here. Many businesses can replicate the same strategy.

Re: Top 10 Business Applications for Facebook

I think the funniest thing is the number of people who use facebook under the guise of a business tool, because of it's recognised anf oft-commented on value as such, but all their really wanting to do is socialise.. :-P
Nevertheless, a very useful list.. The problem with the SlideShare app for Facebook is that it is severely broken because of changes on SlideShare as well as Facebook.

We do know how important it can be to have the ability to share your slideshows on Facebook especially since there doesn't seem to be an easy way to make our embeds work there.

We are working on fixing/redeveloping the app though!

Re: Top 10 Business Applications for Facebook

Great post. I can't get the What I Do app to even load. I get to their page, but if I click "Go to Application" it tells me it can't find it. Hmm....

Anyway, I love the article. All great suggestions. I've been using the business card one for a while and really enjoy it. It's nice to be able to attach it to Wall posts as well (an unusual use, but neat).

Yes, Twitter is fantastic. If for nothing else, to update your Facebook status on a regular basis which keeps you in the "feed activity" list of your friends/contacts.

Re: Top 10 Business Applications for Facebook

Though not an application, Facebook Pages are a great outlet for businesses. The business name is the title of the Page, and instead of "friends" or "members," the business has "fans."
